Understanding Quarantine Reports

Quarantine Reports are periodic emails that summarize messages that have been held by the filter.

These reports typically include:

  • Sender
  • Subject
  • Date/time

Important:

  • To take action on a message, you must click on the subject line within the report
  • This opens a page where available actions can be selected

Actions Available from Quarantine Reports

Release a Message

  • Click the subject line, then choose Release

This will:

  • Deliver the message to your inbox

Use when:

  • The sender is known and trusted
  • The message is expected

Whitelist the Sender

  • Click the subject line, then choose Whitelist

This will:

  • Deliver the current message
  • Allow future messages from this sender

Use when:

  • You regularly receive legitimate emails from this sender

Note:

  • Only whitelist trusted senders

Blacklist the Sender

  • Click the subject line, then choose Blacklist

This will:

  • Block future emails from the sender

Use when:

  • Messages are clearly unwanted or abusive

Managing Quarantine Report Frequency

The schedule for Quarantine Reports can be adjusted in the web interface.

Options typically include:

  • Hourly
  • Daily
  • Disabled

Adjust this setting if:

  • You receive too many or too few report emails
  • You prefer to manage quarantine manually via the interface

Using the Web Interface (Domain Management)

You can log in to the web interface for full control and visibility of your email filtering.

Login details are provided in your welcome email or hosting control panel.
